The subject news article
appeared 25 Oct. '99 in the L.A. Times.
This article resulted from actions taken
in the state of California by Consumers
for Dental Choice (CDC). Charlie
Brown, attorney for CDC is also taking
steps to link dental office discharges to
water quality, a hot topic in California,
especially in San Francisco county
because the San Francisco Bay is heavily
polluted with mercury. Mr. Brown is also
scheduled to speak to a group of
California medical doctors in November.
The CDC plans to take
every action possible in the state of
California to seal the fate of mercury in
dentistry -- remember the other 49 states
follow California. This article
effectively gets the ball rolling.
After all our years of diligent, hard
work for mercury-free dentistry, we now
have an excellent chance to win. We
all need to support the CDC with our
financial participation. Please
send a generous tax-deductible donation
to the Consumers for Dental Choice, a
project of the National Institute of
Science, Law & Public Policy (Tax ID
52-1314021), 1424 16th Street NW, Suite
105, Washington DC 20036.
